I totally appreciate your point that Israel and Palestine are their own, distinction nationalities and that the United States does not necessarily have anything to do with either of these nations. That being said, we are already deeply involved with Israel as their primary arms supplier and advocate on the world stage. Israel would not cease to exist without American involvement, but their situation would certainly not be any easier. For the sake of our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel, I think America has at least some interest in the region.
