Hi James, I liked your relation to the value of conservatism written by several Jewish authors. Expanding on the founding fathers ideals of the covenantal nation with God and Israel, the thought process of honouring Israel as God’s chosen land AND honouring the system in which America came to be is a unique combination, one that the Founding Fathers, I think wanted to remain. The life of decency drives social conservatism and to take it further, other political thoughts as well, as they all want to do what is inherently good. The new question becomes “who is good?”
