I works say that the idea of intellectual tradition is something like philosophy or philosophical thought. When I think about the hebraic thought as an intellectual tradition I can’t help but go back all the way to say Solomon in his writings in ecclesiastes or many of the Jewish rabbis who have used scripture as a means of enlightening thier thought and building a philosophical meaning from the scripture that extend to every day life.
