Yes, I completely agree and for emphasis, I just read “To understand the world we live in, we must understand Hebrew thought and its influence on Western development”. This is so true! What we know about morals, criminal and civil law for example, came from Hebrew thought and “withstood” Greek thought, shaping humanity and the way we live in society to this day.

Powerful stuff for sure. I definitely share your enthusiasm for Hebraic intellectualism’s sustainability among the ancient worlds. There is no doubt that the Greco-Roman worlds influenced the free world as we know it. The Greeks taught the world about philosophy and the Romans taught the world how to govern, but the Hebrews taught the world justice. True Justice. Therefore, understanding their intellectual prowess is vital for all believers to get the full experience of reading God’s word.
