I agree, Kristin. Freedom of religion is deeply intertwined with the Christian doctrine of free will. If God Himself allows people the freedom to choose or reject Him, then it makes no sense for us to try to force belief upon anyone. True faith can only exist where there is genuine freedom. Jesus set the example by inviting, not coercing, those around Him to seek truth. Embracing religious freedom honors God’s Word and follows the pattern Christ set for how we treat others.
