Reply To: In your opinion, why is it important for Christians to stand up for religious freedom for people of all faiths, and not just our own?

Religious freedom is vital to all religions because it protects the dignity of each person’s conscience, regardless of their beliefs. When we are free to worship (or not) according to our convictions, society becomes a place where genuine dialogue replaces coercion and differences do not have to lead to violence. Religious liberty ensures that no government or majority group can impose its beliefs on others, preventing persecution and helping communities live together peacefully. The freedom to pursue one’s own conscience without fear opens opportunities for dialogue so that that truth can be sought after, instead of being forced. It is a safeguard of justice and promotes a stable society.
