Reply To: Are there elements of ancient and/or modern Near Eastern Christianity that are present in your own church/faith life? If so, what are they? If not, would you be open to implementing any?
I have visited several non-denominational churches in my community. Few recite the creed. Others modify the wording so as not to say “catholic.” Demonstrating their lack of understanding of this word in this context and assuming refers to the Roman Catholic church. I believe the creed is important and helps keep people rooted in their faith. I am a part of an Anglican church where we recite the creed and the Lord’s prayer.
