Serving those around you is a great way to demonstrate the love of God. Desiring to help without a hidden agenda will grow you as well as draw people to Jesus. They will see that there is something different about you versus others they encounter. They will see it as beautiful and will ask the reason you do what you do. I remember something a pastor once said during a church plant. He asked if the local community would miss us should we go away. I believe that is a great indicator to the level of impact the church is having. Thank you for your heart for service.
