I have been deeply disturbed in recent months by the resurgence of antisemitism, even among conservative Christian circles. I believe the most effective remedy is biblical education focused on three main levels: theological, historical/prophetic, and political. Believers must first regain a solid understanding of God’s everlasting covenant with Abraham, which promised descendants, a homeland, and blessings for the nations. This covenant was unconditional and unilateral; it was based on God’s faithfulness, not Israel’s merit. Paul reminds us that “the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). Historically, Israel’s restoration after nearly two millennia of exile fulfills prophecy and demonstrates the reliability of God’s Word. Politically, we must reject narratives that seek to legitimize Israel’s right to exist. Both supersessionism and antisemitism arise from arrogance, forgetting that Gentile believers are grafted in by grace, not by replacement.
