Elijah expected revival after the victory at Mount Carmel, but instead encountered Jezebel’s threat and Israel’s continued rebellion. His triumph turned into an anticlimax. God enters with a “gentle whisper” rather than in a display of power. Elijah had to learn to trust God’s unseen plan even while walking through a paradox. Beautiful application of the Hebraic map!
