The text in the bible that resonate more with me is Daniel 9, where the prophet understand that Israel because of their sins is goin through a stage of punishment from God. Although God is over all the earth, He used King Nebuchadnezzar to bring the jewish into captivity for 70 years, according to the prophecy of Jeremiah. The Hebraic map is a historical map, where those who were in captivity where to be history for those who were to come after them. Is a way of learning to trust God in this world on which we lives, a way to learn to be obedience to the Word of God which trough the history of the past prepare us for the present and the future, it was a valley of the shadow of death that the Hebrew understood that was goin to last 70 years in captivity. Jeremiah Also warned the people to pray for the prosperity of the new empire of Babylon, also the jews that were left behind were to plant seed and live for the captivity was to take a long time. The Hebrew see the universe goin somewhere a time for everything under the sun, this was the time to mourn under the Babylon captivity, it was a time of humiliation, but also a time for learning to trust God and not the idols (Baal) they were worshiping before they were taken captive to Babylon.

God punished His people with the fatherly intention of preparing them to live with Him, and to be holy for He is Holy.
