Reply To: In Lecture 2, Dr. Dru Johnson mentions that there has been a decline in biblical literacy in the Church. After taking this course, what are some recommendations you would give to church leadership to increase biblical literacy?
I would address this decline by creating an engaging Bible study that is open to all ages that also offers one-on-one mentoring that places an emphasis on reading and teaching the Bible. I would also encourage my fellow church members to develop personal reading habits by providing daily Bible reading plans. Last, I would recommend to my church leadership that they should encourage the daily use of devotionals to help integrate more Scripture reading.
