The fact that Moses had to continually plead to the people to remember their forefather and reflect that they were following the laws of God is surprising because it just shows us where the mindset of the community was at during this time. They had just escaped from Egypt and instead of showing gratitude to God and fixating on him and the blessing they were instantly moved back by the circumstances of the world. Which makes me wonder how distractions of the world do have more of an impact than we think they do and how consciousnesly, we must,as we go through this walk need to be setting out reflective time with God in the midst.
