Tiffany, I really appreciate your emphasis on finding common ground as a solution. Indeed, seeing the humanity of all that we encounter must be our first priority instead of trying to win an argument. Pope Francis spoke much about a “culture of encounter” that I believe holds immense potential for the resolution to this conflict. If we approach with civility rather than assuming the worst, who knows what opportunities for peace may unfold?
