To share a related response to this prompt, I have a personal account that begins a few years back. I find the story both touching and impactful and my hope is that all who read do as well.

3 young gentlemen, part of Chabad Organization, would devotedly visit my place of work every Friday before Shabbat began. Their purpose in doing so was specifically to connect with a co-worker of mine, who is Jewish and who I am both proud and blessed to call my best friend. Working closely together, it was through her that I was introduced to these gentlemen. Always smiling, positive and good hearted by nature, they were a beacon of light at the end of our sometimes stressful work week. They would generously extend an offer of Shabbat candles, matzo, challah, candy, etc. to my coworker and politely, to me. Copies of the newest print of “L’Chaim Weekly” would be handed to us. Worthy to note, if for any reason we were unable to connect, they would either leave the items in a safe place or kindly ask someone else in the building to please pass them on to us, a sign of honorable dedication to their mission. Following the compelling dialogue I would share with them, I would read these articles and excerpts, which would include the weekly Parsha. My 3 new friends would graciously answer any questions I had regarding the material the following week. As my interest peaked, I would begin to research more and more in my own time. Ultimately, this led to my now continued pursuit of a deeper understanding of my own Christian faith. The beautiful irony is not lost on me that I was brought deeper into my relationship with G-d through the Jewish people. May G-d bless them and may we all be so fortunate, through this program and combined efforts, to cultivate meaningful relationships such as the ones told here.
