To combat antisemitism and supersessionism in my own Christian community, I will begin by fostering education and spreading awareness. This involves teaching about the Jewish roots of Christianity and affirming that God’s covenant with the Jewish people remains valid. God’s covenants are forever and irrevocable. I will also advocate for Bible studies that respect Jewish interpretations and avoid presenting Christianity as a “replacement” for Judaism. Celebrating Jewish holidays and traditions as a way to appreciate our shared heritage is another step. One must model humility and a commitment to justice, recognizing the historical harm caused by teachings of replacement theology and work to heal divisions.
