Very interesting response Daniel. I was also impressed by the role that majority and minority groups play in the Middle East. It seems Middle East dynamics are more determined by tribal rather than national identities, like Europe once was. I think this contributes to the violence present in the Middle East, just as tribal identities play an important role in African politics and conflicts. In the Middle East, these are even more complicated, as they are tied to religious identities.
