Hi Brett, as another Catholic (albeit a convert from a Jewish background), I share your feelings on antisemitism in the Catholic Church. When the Pope or other Catholics focus on the minor Catholic communities that exist in the Palestinian areas, I think of the flourishing Arab Christian communities within the state of Israel, protected by the state. Hamas and the PA persecute Christians far more than Israel does. Further, as an Israeli Catholic, I worry about the neglect of Jewish converts to Catholicism, both in and outside of the Holy Land. Every day, it becomes harder to evangelize to those in my community because of the antisemitism of certain members in the Church.
