I appreciate all of your wonderful comments. It takes so much wisdom to walk the the line of theology and politics. Yes, it is so encouraging to meet someone who has spent a lifetime fighting for peace in their homeland. I am heavily involved in the South African Jewish community in California. As part of South African diaspora, I am impressed by their financial and time investments in Israel (notice—not South African). Specifically, they help support the IDF and IDF families who are stretched to the limit right now. The non-profits they have in place are doing tremendous work there. I wonder how we can learn from their work to help in Lebanon.
