I agree that surrounding cultures had an influence on Hebraic intellectual tradition…and even Hebrew itself. Many Hebrew words are linguistic descendants of other languages that existed prior to Hebrew. The overall intellectual tradition, however, was meant to the Person of Christ–The Word of God that became Flesh.. In my opinion, what was created by God to be the greatest intellectual tradition will not be complete or full until there is complete redemption, the eradication of sin, and the ultimate reign of Christ the King in the new heaven and earth.
