Hebraic leadership is viewing the world and our place in it through the Hebraic map or template and having it determine our decisions and actions. This biblical/Hebraic framework returns God from the perifery to the center. Humans formed by this creator God are formed in God’s image (imago Dei/Tselem Elohim) and of a dual nature: both body and spirit, male and female, individual and communal. immersed in time/history that is both chronological and kairotic. As creatures in a creation in process we are required to choose how to act or avoid acting stretched by our dualities amidst an environment of multiplicity. This requires a leader to assume responsibility for what they do whereever they find themselves, recognizing their potential and ability to transform their unique space/time moment for the honor of God and the service of neighbor. Guidance upon our paradoxical path of pilgrimage can be a sense of humor and detached involvement nourished by immersion in the biblical texts while orienting out hearts towards God and God’s Kingdom.
