Madison, I love what you are saying about putting yourself in others’ shoes in order to be an effective leader — it reminds me that the whole enterprise of leadership is far from a self-centric and self-absorbed one. That further reminds me of the note on the course lesson page that Christian engagement in the near East is intended to be a “dialogue than a monologue,” and also relates to the precept of community that is so emphasized in the Hebraic map.
