Both faiths call for belief, faith and doing good in the world. Engaging with charity projects is an activity Muslims and Christians could find common ground through. Additionally, though I think it has been said a lot already, Islam recognized Jesus in the Quran, and He is a firm foundation to build a bridge on. If both groups can talk about and meditate on Jesus, then there is a lot of exchange to be had. I have never actually read the Quran, so I can not quote it with supporting evidence, but it does seem that prayer is also a big part of the faith in both parties, which is another area for engagement. I also do like to comment on how religiously diverse the city of Jerusalem is. Whenever someone brings up the Near East, I like to share my travel experience in Israel, and always highlight the diversity in Jerusalem specifically. It is better to focus on embracing other faith groups, rather than elevating one over another.
