This is a great answer – especially your point about Hebraic leaders heading towards the Kingdom of God and desiring it, while also working to make the present world a better place, even though the present world is passing away. This is exactly what the saints of the Church have done for two millennia: they had the longing for the world come (“I believe in the life of the world to come” – the Nicene Creed), but they also labored diligently to make the current world better. And in doing so, they led others to also desire the life of the world to come as well.
