Hi Chen, I hope the prayer walk went well! I just came across your post during Election Week and related to it personally. I’ve been worried that a lot of Christians I know treat America as their permanent home (mainly as a result of the overwhelming tensions in a polarized nation), and fail to reconcile the idea that though we should care and pray for the welfare of the country, it’s not where we’re staying forever. In a way this becomes a twisted sense of duty. I myself am learning to navigate being an exile healthily.
