I believe that the fight against anti-Semitism in our local communities begins with the fight against supersessionism. First, the churches need to understand that the Jewish people have not been rejected and that there is still a covenant between the Lord and His people Israel. This alone has already significantly reduced anti-Semitism. So the main role of those who already have this understanding about Israel should be to educate the church. This is exactly what I am doing with some friends through an organization we founded called “Retornar”, which means “To Return” in english. This organization aims to educate the church about the importance of Israel and the fight against anti-Semitism. In addition, our vision is to promote opportunities for reconciliation between Christians and Jews. Therefore, we promote meetings with Jews from my city in Brazil and create covenant relationships. We even recently invited a group of Jews to speak at our church about anti-Semitism.
