The Christian has a moral duty to engage with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict simply because we contributed to the creation of this conflict. In this sense, it is extremely important to remember how the christendom related to the jews over the centuries. Unfortunately, since the church fathers this relationship haven’t been healthy. It have been actually the biggest stain on christian history and theology. The fact is that christians must have the courage to acknoledge the christian church’s mistakes. For this reason, there’s a new generation of christians from all denominations that are looking to those mistakes and deciding to change it once for all. As the the reconciliation only comes from regret, remembering our mistakes and supporting Israel is a way of asking forgiveness from the Jews. Therefore, to teach the church about this conflict is to teach about the history of christian antisemitism. Only in this way we are going to create a new church generation of christians who have a healthy relationship with Israel and the Jewish people
