Wyatt FlickerAs someone who regularly attends Orthodox liturgy, the setting apart of time has always been striking to me and something I have heard many Western Christians desire to emulate. After a nearly two hour long service, most Orthodox parishes hold a lunch that brings the grand total time together to over three hours. Some see this as excessive, but it is such a special time to be with God and to deliberately set aside the rest of the day’s concerns and spend time with each other.
