This is a great breakdown. The focus on “imperial theology” and the attachment of terms like apartheid, racism, colonialism, etc to Israel has always sat a bit strangely for me, I think because it recasts the conflict in American terms. The Palestinian struggle is seen as a foreign substitute for American domestic politics, as is the Israeli position. I think litigating those terms and ways of thinking is very helpful in demystifying the conflict.
