A Hebraic leader is one who navigates a people through crisis towards the Kingdom of God, while remaining attentive to the welfare of the city of man. As a habit of mind, this entails viewing the world with a Scriptural lens, informed not only by the text of the Bible but the spiritual context that its authors lived in. Thus, the adoption of a Hebraic theory of history, a Hebraic anthropology, and a Hebraic cosmology are absolutely necessary for Hebraic leadership. By immersing oneself in this ancient understanding of human life, Hebraic leaders can prepare themselves for dealing with contemporary crises in a clear-eyed fashion. Practically, the Hebraic leader must engage with humanity in a personalistic and theocentric way, caring deeply for humans as inherently valuable while remaining deferent to God’s sovereign action in Creation. St. Augustine wrote, “let us continue on our way, and continue without sloth or respite, so that we may ultimately arrive at our destination.” The Hebraic leader helps the faithful to navigate their path towards the Kingdom, the ultimate destination.
