I am a vowed member of a Franciscan ecumenical community, first off, so we invite among our traditions Catholics of the West such as myself, evangelical and mainstream Lutherans, Baptists, Mennonites, Quakers, Anglicans/ Episcopalians, Methodists, United Church of Christ, Presbyterians, and probably some others I have not met personally yet or claim a label. What is interesting is how at the in-person annual chapter, we have various services each evening. For instance, this year we had a Mass-type that was very close to Catholic, an agape feast, and a communion table version. Other Chapters may have a charismatic or experimental ritual. That is a second tangible way.
Third, I’d say my own teaching, research, and dialogue with Christians in other fora such as Pathfinder is a demonstrably effective approach to get to hear from Christians beyond my Franciscan community’s own varieties.
