In this part of the world (far east), unfortunately yes. I don’t mean to be critical but it seems that most leaders are learning what they are taught in seminary -more emphasis on the Greek Scriptures and not enough time spent on the Hebrew Scriptures. My humble recommendations would be to 1) ensure church leaders are trained to have more appreciation of the Hebrew Scriptures by way of trips to the Holy Land, 2) exposure to the Rabbinic traditions and at least some appreciation of how they study Torah, 3) a deeper study of the geography, history and archeology of the Holy Land (I agree with the comment that the Land is the Fifth Gospel), 4) Engagement with organizations like Pathfinders, and 5)For those really with the inclination, a formal training in Hebrew language.
