In college I was part of a pro-Israel organization, and was also actively apart of the local Jewish community there. Understanding why we as Christians should support Israel should be as simple as understand that we follow a Jewish Messiah. Many Christians are always seeing support through a political lens, and therefore on the fence because of the mainstream media propaganda against Israel. But once you start understanding the roots of your faith, and also realize that we serve a Jewish Messiah, supporting Israel becomes a “No Brainer”. Going to Israel and seeing its rich culture and diversity rich culture first hand also helps to extinguish the the rumors of “colonialism”, “racism”, and “apartheid” that most people assume that is associated with the country. I would encourage you to keep going and move forward with the pro-israel organization despite what other students believe, there are so many people thirsty for truth and facts. Praying for you!
