Yes, Friedman did shine light on the same idea for me too. This is a conflict with my players and many competing interests. This makes the conflict that much more complicated and nuanced. Some of these players have more power than the actual Palestinians. It is sad to see them in the middle of this as well as having a leadership (Hamas) that does not truly want peace with Israel. We are living in the worst times in modern history for this conflict.
