I believe strongly in the ability of neighbourhoods to influence their localities as a whole and as well as the wider states or regions that they belong to. This has led me to desire to meet with community leaders and even local politicians in the neighbourhood (of which one exists by me, luckily) and to collaborate with them. My aim would be to address the growing gang violence within my neighbourbood but also wider country which is often divided along religious lines (for example Muslim or Rasta city) with the ultimate aim of fostering pluralistic discussions (in the spirit of Hebraic leadership) and consensus with regards to violence minimization amongst religious leaders, politicians and gang leaders. I also hope to engage members of the community to replace the vacuum of unproductive free time with activities beneficial to the youth of the community as it relates to entertainment (through sporting facilities and their upkeep) or economics (through engaging decision makers for entrepreneurship and mentorship and the coddling of a startup culture).
