Thanks for sharing Miranda! I was also thinking about the coming election and all the division between people during this time of year. It is true, like the course mentioned, politics and anything of the world will pass away but God’s kingdom is what remains and what we need to always keep our eyes on. To add on to this thread, of course as followers of Christ, we need to share the gospel in every sphere. I think politics looks different for every person and their own personal convictions. I also think as Americans, we see ourselves as “the savior and global power of the world,” and this course teaches us we need to stop thinking in this very worldly sense, as followers of Christ.
