Very true, Isaac. I was very impacted by this. I’ve been trained in looking at the modern missionary movement from America and the West with William Carey, Hudson Taylor and others highlighted. And more recently, I’ve learned of Black missionaries like George Liele which was an expansion of vision. Recognizing the Jesuits and Catholic missions was another expansion. This is yet another. Praise God for Taylor, Carey and others but I see how this is just one slice of the picture and so many of these lands have indeed been seeded by the Gospel in generations prior by the Eastern Churches! I had not heard about this either. It makes me appreciate them more and how big the body of Christ is.
