I appreciate your response, and it spurs me to continually wrestle with how plurality works within the grand scheme of God’s plan. From my graduate studies in biblical theology, I remember a professor who showed us how ancient Israel’s plurality was considerably peaceful, which I think holds tremendous weight for the future of political thought regarding the modern land and state of Israel. If pluralistic peace was possible in antiquity and that was where God’s chosen people received His Word and eventually His Son, then the hope for peace remains undying in my mind.
