Reply To: Are there elements of ancient and/or modern Near Eastern Christianity that are present in your own church/faith life? If so, what are they? If not, would you be open to implementing any?

I too, am interested the multi-sensory worship styles of Near Eastern Christians that Dr. Stephen Cochrane describes in the lecture and can think of incorporating some in my life. Though sensory over-stimulation can be of concern for some members in a congregation (and stages filled with smoke and bright lights can be distracting, overwhelming, even pretentious sometimes), I can appreciate the use of music, incense, sprinkling of water, rosary beads, a head covering, paintings, stained windows etc. can direct our senses and prepare our heart for worship.
