Sarah, I completely agree. Prior to taking this course and reading this article, I also had the preconceived notion that the Israel-Palestinian conflict is only between those 2 nations. However, I agree with you that it is wise to evaluate and think more carefully about how we describe this conflict to ensure we are representing this conflict in the most accurate depiction. I found it helpful when he mentioned the “zoom” analogy and where outsiders are zoomed in vs. Israel.
