On May 1st, the place where I live, Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil, was hit by a huge flood. The city where I live, by the grace of God, was not affected, the neighboring cities were. Several people were left homeless and chaos ensued in our region, so, moved by God, and even without knowing it I had the position of a Hebrew leader. I started raising resources, such as food, hygiene items and clothes to take to the shelters and mobilized several friends to do the same thing during this month. Businesses were at a standstill, classes were cancelled, jobs were closed, etc. This week (05/29/2024) I discovered pathfinder, because I am in love with the Near East, and I was already on the right path, being a Hebrew leader in my neighborhood before going anywhere else in the world. After finishing the course, I intend to continue helping the homeless and have ideas on how to support these families in the long term, even after life “returns to normal”, always keeping in mind our future home in Jerusalem and putting God above all!
