William DugganI appreciate your mentioning the necessity of seeing the world as Jesus saw it. I think it’s easy to forget that Jesus lived in a human body and was part of the same earthly political and social systems that we are also under today in our own right. The danger is thinking too much about the fact that we are in this world but not a part of it. In fact, we are called to be light-bearers here on earth. Each of us has been given pre-ordained assignments to fulfill for the kingdom so that we can actually see God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven–as much as we can until Jesus returns to establish his eternal kingdom on earth.
