Reply To: What were some of your primary takeaways after reading Matti Friedman’s “There Is No ‘Israeli-Palestinian Conflict’”?

Sandra Remilien

My primary takeaway from Matti Friedman’s “There is No ‘Israeli-Palestinian Conflect'” is that there are many sides to the Israeli Palestinian conflict and Israel is not only fighting against Palestinians, but Israel is fighting against many other people and countries like Hezbollah, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran and Iraq.

I also took away that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a multifaceted war and a sub-war and if the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was resolved, the Middle East would still be volatile place (tending to erupt in violence).

I also took away that the Israeli Palestinian conflict cannot be solved by an agreement and thinking that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be solved by an agreement means missing what can help them.
