Alie, it is interesting to hear about the perception of Israel among young people in South Africa. It’s a similar situation here in the United States, where most young people (including in Christian communities) lack knowledge about the Bible being One Story. Most Christian young people I know are indifferent toward Israel, and the non-Christians are generally negative. Understanding that the Bible does not teach replacement theology has definitely helped me rewire my brain to approach the story of the Bible differently.
