Reply To: After taking this course, in your own words, please define Hebraic leadership and what it means to you.

Becca Dickerson

Hebraic Leadership means leading from the Law of Love and leading others from a place of respect and honor; honoring the history of other peoples and their experiences. Hebraic leadership sees the gray areas in the way the world and cultures function and interact with each other. It doesn’t water down the truth, but merely listens, encourages, and makes opportunities for people to find The Truth on their terms, without coercion or bludgeoning. Hebraic leadership is built on a foundation of loving God and loving neighbor. These are the driving motivations (the law of Love) for leading in the world. Hebraic leadership means serving our nearest neighbors first and being active in communities to promote the works of mercy, even if we aren’t called “leader” by anyone else. Hebraic leadership respects each person’s dignity and worth and works to engage with neighbor, state, and the world, is rooted in God’s Word, and sees the world and its issues with honest eyes and humility.
