Reply To: Why is it important for Christians to keep the sad history of Christian antisemitism in mind when responding to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the present?

I think that knowing the history of antisemitism from our own people/past is of vital importance. We need to acknowledge and understand how we as Christians have set the backdrop for this conflict between Israel and Palestine and the surrounding Arab nations to arise. Because we have played such a vital part it also means we must play just as vital a part in bringing peace and resolution to these conflicts. This is now our duty handed down to us by the forefathers of our faith. Our knowledge of this history must lead us to action. Additionally it is extremely helpful to have knowledge in order to participate in meaningful discussions especially during these tense times. We must not be ignorant of this topic as we talk about and discuss it with others and we must talk about it and discuss it with others.
