There are some common ground between Christian and Muslims. Certain events are mentioned from the Bible in the Qur’an:
– Jesus is mentioned 93 times in the Qur’an, and is the regarded as the promised
Messiah of the Jews.
– Certain Bible books, scolls and lists are acknowledged in the Qur’an, incl. the
Torah, Psalms, Gospel, scrolls / books revealed to Abraham as well as several lists
of Hebrew prophets.

The principles, as outlined in the course, will definitely help us to engage and unite on the issues with our Muslims brothers / sisters:
– As a Christian, know yourself , what you believe – and be faithful to it;
– Learn about history. Be open-minded – and try to understand the complexities and
contradictions on both sides;
– Look for common ground, but be patiencient.

The work of engagement is indeed difficult. Building trust and dialogue, and acknowledging differences – it takes consistent effort – and time.
