Reply To: In the first lecture, Dr. McDermott teaches that the Bible is one story, and that God upholds his covenant with the Jewish people to this very day. Was this what you were taught growing up? If not, how will this insight change the way you read the bible going forward?

Thank you for your reply. I especially agree that it is important to read the Bible as one story. God did not try one thing in the Old Testament and when that didn’t work send the New Testament in Christ. Jesus was the plan from the very beginning. When we read the Bible as one constant story we get a much better understanding. Many Problems arise when this is not done. We should share the concern of Paul in Romans that the Jews would come to the knowledge of the Messiah. God can graft them in again.
