I’m so glad you mentioned “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”–because I think that Jesus’ main commandments (love of God and love of neighbor), also should direct the path of the Hebraic leader daily. We are called to take serious our ability to act in our direct spheres of influence (home, neighborhood, work, church, etc) and not undervalue these spheres when comparing them to e.g. national or global politics.
