Josh, I agree as well. I thought it was fascinating to learn about each “ascension” to power – the periods are so clearly defined by specific events, struggles, and cultural attitudes. I do think it is encouraging that a “Golden Age” has happened in Lebanon before, and there can be hope that the groups involved will once again work together to use their power for the good of the state and the good of those around them.
